Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic

Creative Direction, Branding, Social Media

Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic is a full-service veterinary practice that has served the Bucks County community since 1983. As the clinic redefined its services and strengthened its reputation as compassionate, Fear Free care, its visual identity was outdated and no longer reflected the warmth and professionalism of the practice.

I aimed to redefine DAMC by giving it a modern and approachable identity that mirrors the team’s medical expertise and compassion for their furry friends. The system includes a logo, color palette, typography, and brand guidelines designed to create a consistent experience across both digital and physical mediums while reinforcing the clinic's commitment to making veterinary care feel welcoming, reassuring, and stress-free for all those involved.

Process & Ideation

Before designing anything, I wanted to understand what already existed within the veterinary space. I conducted a competitor analysis of other veterinary brands, looking at what visual patterns appeared repeatedly, what felt successful, and what had become predictable. Many identities relied on the same symbols and visual language, making it difficult for practices to stand apart from one another.

At the same time, I met with the clinic's owner to learn how they viewed the practice and what they hoped clients would feel when walking through the door. The conversation continually came back to compassion, community, trust, and making veterinary care feel less intimidating. Those discussions became the foundation for every design decision that followed.
